SunTrust Robinson Humphrey Adds Four Investment Banking Professionals

SunTrust Robinson Humphrey added four industry veterans in investment banking and equity research.

David Bain joined as a managing director and head of Technology & Services M&A, Scott Peterson joined as a managing director in software coverage, P.A. Weiner joined as a managing director in financial technology coverage and Terry Tillman joined as a managing director in software equity research.

Gregg, president and CEO of STRH. “We have been looking for the right talent to grow our Technology & Services practice and these hires bring tremendous experience to our platform, helping us deepen our coverage across the technology sector.”

Prior to joining STRH, Bain served as co-head of Investment Banking and head of M&A at Pacific Crest Securities. Previously, he worked as an M&A banker at Sagent Advisors, Wachovia Securities, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Lehman Brothers.

Peterson led the software investment banking practice at BMO Capital Markets. Previously, he worked as a technology investment banker at J.P. Morgan and Credit Suisse First Boston.

Prior to joining STRH, Weiner led the financial technology investment banking practice for Signal Hill. Previously, he worked as a technology investment banker at RBC Capital Markets, Deutsche Bank and Alex Brown & Sons.

Tillman spent nine years at Raymond James covering the software sector. Previously, he worked in the research departments of SoundView Technology Group and Banc of America.
